He has a solid constitution, well developed bones and muscles. His triangular ears are relatively small.

Like a Samurai, the shiba is recognized worldwide as a very loyal, hyper attentive and very alert dog.

This exceptional dog has been designated in Japan as "one quarter dog, one quarter man, one quarter cat and one quarter monkey". (If you count the quarters correctly, there are four of them, so we have the count, right?).
